This book is full of lovely ideas for meals which children could make with adult supervision. It does, however, state in the front that the recipes are suitable for a child to make with little or no help, yet I would not feel happy recommending it for this purpose.

A lot of adults who are new to cooking would find it useful as it is very easy to follow with each step fully illustrated and a photograph of the end product. The measurements and ingredients are American though, so it does need some translation (e.g. capsicums instead of peppers).

Not all recipes are vegetarian but many of them are and some, such as 'Glazed Pumpkin' are positively mouth-watering. Others, like the 'Sausage and Bean Bake' can still be used by vegetarians with simple substitutions.
